The Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon offers 6 programs designed for a wide variety of educational and recreational experiences, including:

CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP – Help youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process.
EDUCATION & CAREER – Ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career.
HEALTH & LIFE SKILLS – Develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
THE ARTS – Encourage artistic expression through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and mixed media.
SPORTS, FITNESS & RECREATION – Help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social & interpersonal skills.
SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS – Focus on meeting the specific needs identified within the Club. Their broad scope complements several or all of our core program areas.

Clubs are located in public schools and public housing, on Native American lands, in rural areas and inner cities.

After School Program
Who:  All Children ages 6-13 years
When: Mondays – Fridays, 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Cost:  $100 per school year
Dates: September 7, 2022 – June 9, 2023

Teen Program
Who:  All Teens ages 14-18 years
When:  Mondays – Fridays, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Cost:  $25 per school year
Dates: September 7, 2022 – June 9, 2023

Summer Program
Who:  All Children ages 5-13 years
When:  Mondays – Fridays
Cost: $100 Non-refundable Registration, $120 per child per week, $100 per week for each additional child in a family
Tentative Dates: June 26, 2023 – August 11, 2023

Special Programs
Who:  All Youth ages 6-18 years
When:  Mondays – Fridays, and some weekends

Sponsor a Child
Please consider donating $60 to sponsor a child to attend our After School Program, or $25 to sponsor a teen to attend our Teen Program, for an entire school year (September – June).
